Fr. Mark Mengel will speak on the Missionary Movement in the 20th and 21st Century with an emphasis on the Columban Fathers and the importance of Christian-Muslim dialogue. The retreat begins with the 4:30p.m. Mass. After Mass, Fr. Mark will offer a presentation in the church, and that will be followed by a soup, sandwich and beverage supper in the Social Center. After supper he will offer the final presentation and ending prayer. The cost is $10.00 to cover the food cost. Tickets will be on sale at all Masses the weekends of March 10th & 11th, and 17th & 18th.

The foundation of Schola is the pure “Love of Music” and the joy it can bring to the community. They are always so very pleased to be appearing at Holy Name Church. As always, there will be a Wine & Cheese Reception at the Social Center following the performance. The $2.00 donation enables us to have an accurate head count for the refreshments. Our Bishop has been from the very beginning, and is still dedicated to hearing from all of us in the Diocesan community to address what we feel are current and long term needs, and seeks to foster unity amongst the priests and people of the Diocese. This weekend students from St. Michael’s Academy will be present at Mass to briefly share the benefits of a Catholic education. They will discuss some of their experiences and explain why they attend SMA. After Mass, they will be selling Calendar Raffles for $10 each. All proceeds support the programs of St. Michael’s Academy. The sale ends on January 29th and the winners will be announced at the St. Michael’s Academy Pasta Supper on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
