Do you know
someone who is baptized in another faith and is interested in becoming
Catholic?...Do you know someone who has never been baptized in any faith and is
interested in becoming Catholic?...Are you a Catholic who has not yet received
the sacrament of 1st Eucharist and/or Confirmation?
Perhaps you, or someone you know, may be interested in
RCIA which stands for Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults.
RCIA is a journey in faith. It is a return to the way
early Christian communities welcomed new members into their faith. This faith
journey is not taken alone; the one participating is accompanied by a sponsor
and the entire faith community. RCIA is a powerful sign to those who are
already members of the church that the Spirit of God is working in and through
all people.
Our RCIA journey will begin in the Fall and lead up to
the Easter Vigil in April. Those participating typically meet once a week to
share their faith, learn more about our Catholic tradition, and grow in
relationship to God. The journey also includes weekly participation in the Sunday
Eucharist. An informational meeting will be conducted in September 12, 2024
after the 11:00 AM Mass.
Have questions? Not sure if it is for you? Then call and leave a message for Karen Matz
or Fr. John Connors at 733-5823. We look forward to hearing from you.
