MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Security For the safety of the students,
all school doors are kept
locked at all times. Parents and visitors must enter through the
Alderman St. entrance.
Fire Drills Fire drills are held regularly, especially
in good weather.
Students are trained to leave the building quickly and
quietly if the fire alarm rings.
Lost and found Articles that are found should
be taken to the offices
in the building where they were found. Children who have
lost an article should check both offices to see if it was
found.
Pictures Individual and class pictures are taken once a year usually
in the fall. Purchase of these pictures is optional.
Notification regarding the dates for school pictures will be sent home
at the appropriate time.
Weather Emergencies Holy Name School follows the
closing
announcements for the Springfield Public Schools. Listen
to the radio, or watch the local television new program for
these announcements.
Phones Our phones are business phones. Each call
out costs the
school. Therefore, students will only be allowed to use the
phones for emergencies. Calling home for missing
assignments is not an emergency. If you should notice
that your child has left something at home that they might need in school,
please feel free to drop it off at the Alderman Street office
where your child will be able to pick it up. You will find that they will
begin to remember to pack their school bag very carefully.
Visits If you have occasion to come to school,
please use the front
entrance of the school building on Alderman Street and go
directly to the main office on the first floor. No one is allowed at any
time to go to a classroom without the permission of the principal.
Transfers Parents of children who are transferring
to another school
should contact the school secretary in order to sign a
release of records form. All children's records are mailed to the new
school. A release of the records is based upon your tuition being paid
up to date and no money being owed to the school.
