SUSPENSIONS Suspension is the temporary prohibition of a student's classroom attendance at school, and shall be within the jurisdiction of the school principal! The decision to suspend a student, the duration of the suspension, and whether the suspension will be carried out in school or at home, shall be make at the discretion of the school principal. Sufficient reason for suspension may include, but is not limited to; student or parental conduct that disrupts the normal operation of the school, or places at risk the health or safety of the student, other students, visitors or school employees. EXPLUSION Expulsion is the permanent termination of a student's enrollment at school. The expulsion of a student from a Catholic school of the Diocese is a serious matter, and is rarely invoked. |
