Extended Day Program

Objectives of the EDP: The main objective of Holy Name School's EDP staff is to provide a safe, secure, and enriching childcare experience for all Holy Name students enrolled in this after-school adult supervised program.

Time: EDP begins immediately after school dismissal and ends at 5:30. A late fee will be charged if your child stays later than 5:30.

Days in Session: EDP is in session every school day. However it is NOT in session during school holidays, vacation times, early dismissal days and planned half days. A notice will be sent if there is a change in this policy.

Payment: $4.00 per hour for the first child and $3.00 per hour for each additional child in the family, payable on the Monday for the previous week attended. Exception: Pre-K children pay $3.00 per hour.

Schedule: Generally speaking, children in grades Pre-K to 8 will be in the Social Center's gym or on the playground until 3:30 PM. They will return to the Alderman Street building at 3:30 PM to work on homework assignments, read for enjoyment, or to do a quiet activity. On days of inclement weather and on Wednesdays of each week when Bingo is held in the gym, all children will remain indoors in the Alderman Street building.

EDP Activities: Games, Gym Time, Outdoor Play Time, Arts & Crafts, Story Time, Homework Time, and Special Events
